Redeemer Children’s ministries

In light of Redeemer’s mission, our desire is for our children to worship God, care for others and, in understanding God’s grace, seek to minister to our neighbors and city.

Nursery

We strive to be a safe place where every child and parent sees the love of God in the people who care for them, causing all to have a greater desire to know Him and love their neighbor as themselves.

During Worship there are three nurseries for children up to the age of four years.

Sweet Peas (infants) - 0-12 months

Little Lambs (toddlers) 12-24 months

Junior Church - 2-4 years - Children will listen to a Bible story, sing Bible songs and enjoy a snack time.

Children’s Church

It is our hope that children will learn to listen to God's word as they mature through the ages of 4-7.  Children age 4 years through first grade are dismissed immediately before the sermon to Children’s Church and return to worship at the beginning of communion.  During this time, in addition to singing, children engage in interactive learning based on scripture and catechism questions.

Christian Education (CE)

These 6-8 week CE classes are offered in the Fall and Spring for children age 2 years-fifth grade.  In sixth grade, children become part of the youth CE class.

From age 2 years-fifth grade, our children use Great Commission’s “show me Jesus” Curriculum.  Our youth CE class studies The Westminster Shorter Catechism.  This study addresses their changing needs to enter into more thoughtful dialogue with the truths that have been taught up to this time.
